Understanding Short-Term Health Insurance

For self-employed individuals or those between employer health plans, a Term Medical Plan offers essential medical coverage during gaps in insurance.

While premiums for these plans are affordable, they offer fewer “essential health benefits” compared to comprehensive ACA health plans. These plans are flexible and can be used for 1 to 3 months, with the option to cancel at any time without penalties.
