What Is Short-Term Health Insurance Used For?

Premiums for these plans are quite affordable, though they provide fewer “essential health benefits” than comprehensive ACA health plans. Most of these plans last up to 12 months, but you may cancel at any time without penalties.

How Does Flex Term Temporary Health Insurance Work?

FIRST

 

$50 copay for physcian office visit
$50 copay for annual wellness exam

THEN

 

Cover your deductible of $1000, $2500, $5000, $7500 or $10,000
Your deductible is the amount you must pay before FlexTerm Health Insurance pays benefits.

Coinsurance Options:

  • 50%/50% – You pay 50% of any additional covered charges up to the plan maximum
  • 70%/30% – You pay 30% of any additional covered charges up to the plan maximum
  • 80%/20% – You pay 20% of any additional covered charges up to the plan maximum
  • 100% – We pay 100% of the covered charges up to the plan maximum

AFTER

FlexTerm Health pays all remaining covered charges, up to the Policy Period Maximum.

  • Pre-existing conditions are not covered
  • Dental and eye care are not covered
  • Prescriptions (unless prescribed during a covered hospitalization) are not covered
  • Like most health insurance plans, services are subject to Usual Customary and Reasonable (UCR) review to determine the Maximum Allowed Expense.
